MANTAN mantan lead guitarist grup Guns N" Roses yang sekarang menjadi lead guitarist Velvet Revolver, Slash, sudah menjadi idola bagi para penggemar musik rock. Dia termasuk gitaris legendaris. Akhir bulan ini, pemilik nama asli Saul Hudson itu akan datang ke Indonesia untuk menjumpai penggemarnya.

Surabaya menjadi jujukan pertama. Di Kota Pahlawan itulah konsernya yang bertajuk"Slash feat Myles Kennedy World Tour Concert 2010" akan dimulai. Sabtu pekan depan (31/7), Jatim Expo akan menjadi saksi kehebatan pria kelahiran Hampstead, pinggiran Kota London, tersebut.

Di Jakarta, dia bakal mengadakan konser di Istora Senayan pada 3 Agustus. Pada penampilan nanti, Slash yang lahir pada 23 Juli 1965 itu tidak sendiri. Selain Myles Kennedy (Alter Bridge), penerima penghargaan Hollywood Wall of Fame pada 2007 itu akan ditemani additional player seperti Bobby Schneck (Weezer, Greenday, Aerosmith), Todd Kerns (Age of Electric, Static in Stereo, Sin City Sinners), serta Brenz Fitz (Alice Cooper dan Vince Neil).

Para bintang rock Indonesia juga ikut meramaikan konser Slash. Ada grup kolaborasi yang diberi nama All Indonesia Rock Star. Personelnya, antara lain, Abdee (Slank), Baron (Soulmate),Yoyo (Padi), Thomas (Gigi), Shandy (Pas Band), dan John Paul Ivan. Mereka menjadi band pembuka.

Hasan Abdul Gani, president director Mahaka Entertainment selaku promotor konser, menjanjikan pertunjukan Slash bakal menjadi konser rock yang memukau. "Bayangkan saja, orang-orang yang expert di musik rock itu akan bermain bersama dalam satu panggung," ucapnya.

Bukan hanya Slash dan timnya, para rock star tanah air juga akan tampil all-out. "Mereka juga pasti ikut kesetrum energi Slash. Nggak mau kalah," ungkapnya.

Untuk konser Slash, Hasan menjelaskan bahwa Mahaka Entertainment berhasil memboyong peraih penghargaan Best Electric Guitar 2009 versi Time Magazine itu ke Indonesia karena konsernya yang sejatinya akan berlangsung di Hongkong batal. "Yang di Hongkong batal karena ada kerusuhan. Jadi, kami ambil. Makanya bisa manggung di dua kota, Surabaya dan Jakarta," paparnya.

Surabaya, menurut Hasan, dipilih karena masyarakat perlu diedukasi bahwa Indonesia bukan hanya Bali dan Jakarta. (jan/c5/ayi)
